As a matter of public safety, jurors may be subject to search and seizure of items identified on the Court’s List of Prohibited Items prior to entering any courthouse or courtroom.
While serving on jury duty you may go through a metal detector. Your handbag, briefcase, backpack, and any containers may be x-rayed. Leave such items at home or in your vehicle; if confiscated, they will not be returned. You may be asked to remove your shoes if you wear shoes with steel in them, such as steel-toe boots.
When reporting for jury duty, please allow extra time to go through the weapons screening line. |

The jury parking lot is
located at 1019 Garden Street (located between Figueroa & Carrillo
Streets). If lot is full, parking is available at the
church located at Valerio & Santa Barbara Streets.
Parking is in the upper lot only.
There is a City lot on Anacapa Street
across from the courthouse; the first 75 minutes are
free. More Downtown parking locations.
You may use your summons as an MTD bus
pass on your first reporting day. Hand the summons
to the driver instead of depositing money. |
